E-Commerce Integrations Overview

AIChatVault's e-commerce integrations connect your agent directly to your store's live data — products, orders, cart, categories, and customer profiles. Once connected, the agent can answer product questions, look up order status, help customers browse collections, and more, using real-time data from your store rather than static knowledge base content.

Available AI shopping actions

Each platform supports a set of AI actions that the agent can execute during a conversation. Actions are configured per-integration — you can enable or disable individual actions and customise the trigger description that tells the AI when to use each one.

How product data is synced

When you connect a store, AIChatVault runs a background product sync that pulls your catalogue into the knowledge base. This means the agent can answer general product questions (descriptions, features, pricing) even without calling the live store API on every message. Live API calls are made for order lookups, cart contents, and customer profile operations — where real-time accuracy is essential.

  • •synced_product_count — shown on the integration page, tells you how many products are currently indexed.
  • •last_synced_at — timestamp of the most recent successful sync.
  • •Manual sync — click Sync Products at any time to force a fresh pull from your store.
  • •Sync runs in the background. Large catalogues (thousands of products) may take a few minutes.

Configuring actions

Each action has two controls on the integration page:

  • •Enable / disable toggle — turn individual actions on or off. Disabled actions are never called by the agent, even if the conversation seems relevant.
  • •When to use (editable) — a plain-English description that tells the AI when it should trigger this action. You can customise this to match your store's terminology or restrict when the action fires.

Save your action configuration after making changes. Settings are stored per-integration, so different agents can have different action rules for the same store.

ℹ️
Order and customer data is only retrieved when the customer identifies themselves in the conversation (by providing an order number, email, or logging in). The agent never exposes one customer's data to another.
